Summer Recap

What have we been up to?

Summer in Utah was hot and smokey - I hope all of you made it through the heat! While temps soared at home, I escaped to Alaska, keepings things cool by spending my summer fishing out of Bristol Bay for salmon and guiding charters.

Alaska was filled with salmon slaps, very little sleep, some pack rafting and a lot of adventures.

While I was out catching fish, I couldn’t help but think about the adventures that this winter will hold, the stories I’m going to hear, and how to make Salty Ski Service Salt Lake City’s best ski shop. Since getting back, we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes gearing up for another fantastic winter season.

We’re just about 2 months away from the first lifts in Salt Lake City starting to spin and the first snowflakes have already flown up at Powder Mountain! It feels like just yesterday that we were meeting up at Fischer Brewing for a brewski and a tune. Those days are coming back quickly.

If you have a favorite place to meet up or a spot that you always end up after your ski day, let me know! I’m always looking for wonderful new partners and places to bring the mobile ski shop. In the meantime, as you break out your skis and snowboard for the season, buy new or used gear, or realize your edges rusted when you stored your board for the summer, give me a shout and I’ll get your gear back in action.

As always, Salty Ski Service can provide a same day ski or snowboard tune up or wax to ensure that you are in good shape to hit the slopes or to stow your board away! If you’d like insight on what your skis or board needs, send us a text or give us a call, we’re happy to help you out!
